The day Mrs Harbhajan Kaur turned 90, her daughter asked her if she has any unfilled desires? Smiling, she told her that she has been blessed with a wonderful family and a fulfilling life; however, she only wishes to earn her own money someday. That day, as the entire family came together to celebrate her birthday, they decided that she should do what she enjoys the most – making Besan Barfi! At 90, Mrs Harbhajan Kaur sold her first order of Besan Barfi and earned her first pay-check of Rs 2000. The rest as they say, is history! With the unstinted support of her family, what started as a small home-grown endeavour has grown into a thriving business. Each product is handmade with love, using only pure ingredients, produced in small batches and packed freshly. With over 3000 orders delivered across the country through various delivery partners, her products are now reaching every corner of the country. All her other products embody the spirit of a traditional Punjabi household, ranging from pickles, chutneys, masalas, Panjeeri, sharbats and squashes and each recipe is curated by Mrs Harbhajan herself, with her team of women bringing her recipes to life. Today, at 96, Mrs, Harbhajan Kaur has a 23k strong social media family who lovingly call her ‘Barfi wali Nani'
